A licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) attends a four-year, graduate-level Naturopathic Medical school, as well as a required University undergraduate degree, with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. In addition to a standard naturopathic medical curriculum, the naturopathic doctor also studies botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, and various other modalities. A Naturopathic Doctor takes rigorous professional board exams, such as the OSCE (Objective Standard Clinical Exams), the Ontario Clinical Board Exams, and the NPLEX board exams, so that they may be licensed by a state/province or jurisdiction.

Dr. Zarifis, Naturopathic Doctor, recommends comprehensive laboratory testing, in order to get a more detailed look into the possible causative factors.  Treatment plans are always individualized and explained thoroughly, as Dr. Zarifis prides her success on open communication with patients.  Treatment Modalities include but are not limited to; dietary and lifestyle changes, Botanical Medicine, various nutritional Supplements, Acupuncture and more.
